The Lion’s Club of Colombo supreme is glad to announce the "Kids for Wetlands: Growing Future Conservationists" program, a unique and interactive wetland conservation initiative designed for children. The Chief Guest of this program was Mr. Prabath Chandrakeerthi, Secretary to the Ministry of Environment. A total of 120 students, few teachers and parents from Hewagama Primary School participated in the program. This hands-on educational program combined fun and learning through a series of exciting activities and guided explorations. The primary goal of "Kids for Wetlands: Growing Future Conservationists" is to cultivate a sense of environmental stewardship in children. “We hope this will help to build love for nature in our children and empowering them to become active participants in environmental conservation!” The refreshments, School Bags books were donated to all participants.
