Description

We have chosen this village in the Ratnapura division for our Hunger programme due to the extreme hardships faced by the Tamil community there. The villagers rely on daily wages from cutting rubber on estates, leaving them trapped i a cycle of poverty. This pressing situation calls for immediate support to alleviate their struggle and improve their living conditions. Chairperson was Lion Lady Rasika Upasena. We also had the Grama Sevaka and Samurdhi Coordinator present.
