Description

Thilagavathiyar Girls Home is situated in Kathiraveli which is more than 75Km away from Batticaloa Town. This is one of the very remote area, there are many other villages far interior from the main road and mostly aborigines are living in those villages, there are no proper road facility for some villages. Girl children from those far villages are housed in this home and assisted for education. On this day we have conducted an awareness program on the importance of education and also to develop their vision on future ambition and the path to achieve same. We have also provided School Bags and education materials to those children Development officer from the Divisional Secretariat and the Leo Club of Batticaloa also participated in this event
