We have planted 20 trees at BT/BC/ARAFA VIDYALAYAM- Sunday
Our district Governor. Lion. Ranjith Fernando and Lion Sri Jayasuriya MJF also join and officially Start this magnificent Event.
The overall objectives of the project were to enhance the tree diversity in all open spaces and parks in the state. Secondly, help to improve air quality in the town because the trees absorb carbon dioxide and odors and in turn provide oxygen and fresh air.
Also, to reduce stormwater runoff and pollution which is the main cause of groundwater pollution.
Finally, it aims to provide a healthier and more beautiful space for local residents and increase the quality of life by working together in planting trees. Every objective stated is very clear and specific.
All the objectives work towards the mission of the project, which is to utilize and manage the urban landscape in the state in a more viable way for providing a wholesome and sustainable environment to the state.
The project objective of sustainable, long-term management of public urban and peri-urban green spaces, as well as incorporating urban forestry management to enhance the landscape, which would provide wide-ranging benefits to the community, is ultimately achieved by interlinkage between each other.
This project stands as one of the most significant and impactful initiatives of the Lions Club of Kattankudy MAF excellence.
