On 28th February, an Eye Camp was held at Dewram Vehera, Pannipitiya, to provide essential vision care services to 129 monks. The purpose of this eye camp was to ensure monks with vision difficulties received the proper diagnosis, treatment, and proper solutions to improve their eyesight. A skillful team worked throughout the day to screen 129 monks, diagnosing various eye conditions. Among them, 8 individuals were identified as requiring cataract surgeries. The camp distributed 80 special prescription glasses and 41 reading glasses, allowing recipients to see more clearly and perform daily activities more comfortably. The event also served as a platform to educate the community on the importance of eye health and routine check-ups, encouraging them to take proactive measures in maintaining their vision. Thanks to the dedication of medical professionals, organizers, and volunteers, the Eye Camp at Dewram Vehera was a great success.
