The Leo Lions Club of Colombo Legacy Eminence successfully extended a new Alpha Leo Club under its sponsorship – the Leo Club of Ashoka Vidyalaya. This initiative aimed to introduce the values of leadership, community service, and youth engagement to the students of Ashoka Vidyalaya by providing them the platform to actively contribute to the Leo movement.
As the sponsoring club, Legacy Eminence played a guiding role throughout the extension process—from coordinating with school authorities to completing the organizational formalities required by Lions Clubs International. The club also supported the onboarding of the new members by sharing knowledge, offering leadership mentoring, and ensuring the club was structured for sustainability.
This project marked a significant step in youth development and Leoism expansion in the district. Through this extension, a new generation of students was empowered to become future-ready leaders and responsible citizens, contributing meaningfully to both their communities and the Leo movement.
