The Lions Club of Nawala, under the leadership of Project Chairperson Lion Lady Nilmini Withana, successfully organized a medical camp focused on scoliosis awareness and support. Collaborating with two specialist doctors from MGM Health Care in Chennai, the team dedicated their time and expertise to attend to 25 scoliosis patients aged between 10 and 55 years.
Additionally, members of the Leo Club of Mahanama College played a vital role in the event, assisting with administrative tasks and providing comfort to patients by offering snacks and drinks. A highlight of the camp was Lion Nilmini Withana's generous donation of a harness to one patient in need, showcasing the compassion and commitment the Lions Club has toward helping those affected by scoliosis.
Overall, the campaign was a resounding success, with nearly all patients expressing satisfaction with the free medical advice they received. The initiative not only provided essential support to individuals living with scoliosis but also raised awareness
