On 09 May 2025, the Lions Club of Colombo Continental Excellence conducted a Dengue and Chikungunya control awareness program at Sri Sumettharamaya Viharasthanaya, Yakkala. The program was chaired by Dr. Fakeeha Nooman and attended by 12 participants. It aimed to educate the local community on the prevention and control of mosquito-borne diseases, emphasizing the importance of environmental cleanliness and early detection. The session was part of the club’s ongoing efforts to promote public health and safety. A total of 12 Lion hours were contributed toward this initiative.
