On 16 May 2025, the Lions Club of Colombo Continental Excellence conducted a “Diabetic Mellitus” Awareness Program at Leela Withana Elder's Home, Warapalana. The program was chaired by Lion Dr. Fakeeha Nooman and attended by 35 participants. It aimed to educate the elderly residents on the causes, symptoms, complications, and management of diabetes, emphasizing the importance of regular monitoring, proper diet, and healthy lifestyle practices. The initiative supported the club’s mission to enhance health awareness among vulnerable communities. A total of 12 Lion hours were contributed to this meaningful project.
