Project Chairperson Lion Nishaman and Co-Chairperson Lion Lady Nilmini Withana, alongside two dedicated members of the Lions Club of Nawala and support from several non-Lions, successfully organized a medical camp that served 60 elderly citizens. This initiative included comprehensive general check-ups, as well as screenings for diabetes and blood pressure, ensuring that attendees received the medical attention they needed. In addition to the health assessments, all patients were provided with healthy snacks, promoting overall well-being and care. As a token of appreciation for their outstanding commitment to the community, a special gratitude plaque was presented to Lion Lady Nilmini Withana and Lion Nishaman by the temple head Buddhist Thero. This recognition underscored the positive impact of their efforts and the dedication of the Lions Club to improve the lives of those in need. The event not only fostered health awareness among the elderly but also strengthened community ties through compassionate service.
