Batticaloa District is having high rate of cancer patients due to chemical fertilizer usage for farming, to bring awareness among the community of the affect of using chemical fertilizers and also to promote organic farming a workshop was conducted jointly with Voice of Nature organization at the lions center. this workshop was conducted by a retired university professor and agriculture teachers
