Mavaliaru Village is situated in the outskirt of Batticaloa District, Their is no proper road access to this village, a women headed family having two girl children was identified struggling for living, both children are brave and studying well, eldest girl Delaxshana got through Ordinary Level and attending Advance Level Education in Arts stream, due to poverty mother wasn't able to support for her education and planning to stop her from the school. Hearing their situation Lions Club of Batticaloa intervened to provide monthly financial assistance to continue her studies. Initial payment was provided directly to the mother and child, monthly assistance will be deposited to their account monthly.
