In order to replenish supplies in the blood bank the Homagama central organize a Blood Donation Campaign together with LEO Club of Homagama Central, It's a Serving together Project (Joint Project with LEO Club). Project commence at 9.00am to 4.00pm at the Sugatha Bimbaramaya Temple, Homagama.
The project was a brainchild of the president of the Lions club of Homagama Central, Lion Shiromi Ganegoda. The project was planned alongside her with the support of the Director board and members from the Lions club of Homagama Central. Leo Pulinda Attapattu co – chaired the project.
Doctors and nurses together with a voluntary staff from the National blood bank displayed a keen interest in achiving this target with members of the LION and LEO members of the club giving their fullest support. This project was successful as we managed to collect 60 blood pints that would save lives, even amidst the global pandemic. Also, we managed to provide the donors with quality refreshments and gifts that would last a life time, which would remind them of the merit they did by risking their health to aid another, even amidst a pandemic.
