Victoria Home for Incurables Rajagiriya.
The Leo Lions Club of Colombo Ananda Alumni, in collaboration with the Leo Lions Club of Colombo Knights organized the project 'Victoria' on the 26th of November 2021 from 10.00 AM onward at the Victoria Home for Incurables. Here, 250+ lunch parcels and desserts worth over LKR 75,000 was donated to the patients in the home, including to the dedicated staff of this hospital.
Past District Governor, Lion Dr. Lasantha Goonewardena and Zonal Chairman Lion Channaka De Silva attended and participated in the project proceedings. Many Leos, Lions and Leo Lions along with parents and well-wishers participated to the project, adhering to government regulations on covid-19 protocol.
Media Sponsorship was gained by ITN TV (Independent Television Network) and was broadcasted under their segment, 'Manushyathwaye Sathkaraya'.
The food which was distributed was prepared at home purely and safely after collecting all dry rations needed. Rice, dhal curry, fish curry, pickle, beans, potato curry and papadam were given for lunch, along with yoghurts for desserts.
