With the aim of uplifting the educational standards of Sri Lankan students, those of us at the ‘Lions Club of Colombo Seven’ have implemented a project called “ශිල්ප ”. The first phase of this project, was successfully conducted at an underprivileged school in the Gampaha District - Kuttiwila Kanishta Vidyalaya, Kirindiwela. Lions Club of Colombo Seven pitched in their contributions to provide a friendly environment for education and also to provide essential educational materials for the students. Along with some quality entertainment programs courtesy of the Lions Club of Colombo Seven, 3 new Computers were donated courtesy of Seylan Bank to the school which never had one to begin with hoping for a brand new start. While mentioning that we must allay mention Mr. Wasantha Karunarathne who ensured our noble endeavor was a success. Also we would like to request any and all who wishes to ignite that spark which generates a smile in the face of the lesser privileged to join us in our future endeavors and help bring that change in the world .
