A screening program was conducted by the club at BETHEL CHILDREN'S HOME in Kotagala on the 1st of July 2022 in keeping with the request by the Governor.
Around 21 children were screened. All those children were orphants.
Program was
coordinated by Club President Lion Dr. Suresh Rajendran MJF/JP and
Lion Dr.Arulchelvan
optometrist constructed the screening for vision defects. Around 5 children needed attention with poor vision where they will be provided with spectacles. One boy was found to be suffering of a
valvery heart disease. Steps where taken to refer him to the cardiologist. Lion Ladies Stella and Gnanasundari along with Lion Noel Sylvester took part.
A total of Rs 32700/-
spent for refreshments, and spectacles.
