Eastern University Medical student from a poor family was managing his studies for the last three years by the income earned through giving tuition classes for Advanced Level students, due to the financial crises students weren't able to pay fees and also to focus on his last year examinations he has stopped giving classes, to manage his expenses until he finish his final year examination, Lions Club of Batticaloa provided SLR 90,000 to this student on his request. This grant was given during the visit of the District Governor to the Club
