Lions district 306C2 and Lions club of Nawalapitiya - Kotmale distributed dry rations package each containing one 5kg rice bag, 1kg of Dhal, 1kg sugar, Big Onions 1kg, Sprats 250g, Salt 1 packet, potatoes 1kg, Soya 1 packet, Chili 100g and Noodle 1 packet costing LKR 3300 distributed to 350 families affected by the floods in Nawalapitiya - Kotmale areas on 1st of August 2022. LCIF emergency grant no.EMR21426/306C2/YEAR2022/23 provided the funds to this project. District governor Lion Bannet Gamlath and First Lady Sarojani Gamlath, Lion Gaya Upasena, Lion Jayantha Dias and Lion Lady Jeewani Dias, Lion Mahinda Fernando, participated from the District Cabinet. 17 Lions and 5 Lion ladies from Nawalapitiya Club participated. 3 Gramasewakas' and officers from Pas-Baage Korale divisional secretariat also participated in this project.
