As there was no safe place to cross the road for Maawathgama Kanishta Vidyalaya students,Lions Club of Homagama Diamonds , provided a Pedestrian Crossing ( Sudu Ira) for the school. Four sign boards were also erected.
Lions participated were Wasantha Aruna Keerthi,Samantha Ukwaththa,P S K Senanayake,Dilan Sooryapperuma
