To monitor and control the traffic at pedestrian crossings,a school traffic control unit was established in the Maawathgama Kanishta Vidyalaya, Homagama. The traffic OIC Mr. Chandrasiri of Homagama Police Station provided the necessary instructions and training to the students. Lions participated were: Samantha Ukwaththa, Wasantha Aruna Keerthi, Pradeep and Amitha Hatanarachchi and P S K Senanayake
