Ketharama Buddhist Temple of Weralupa Village, Ratnapura.
Planting of 50 coconut plants in the garden of Ketharama Temple where few of the schooling young Buddhist monks are residing and it will be a very helpful project for the young priest to know about the importance of go green program in time to come. Cutting of 2' x 3' holes and fertilized with compost and old coconut husks with Salt. Recycled and Disposable Tar barrels were used to protect the beautiful environment and to cover individual plants in order to safeguard them from the stray Pigs and other annimals.Watering was undertaken once in two days and close supervision was done to monitor progress of the growing. The Chief incumbent of the temple along with few young priests, 12 villagers and 8 lions and ladies attended.
