“The eyes are the windows to the soul” is an expression that is often used to describe the deep connection one feels when looking into another’s eyes. However, like windows, the eyes work both ways. They are not only important in seeing into another person’s soul, but they are also vital in how we view the world around us. Sight and vision are important because they allow us to connect with our surroundings, keep us safe, and help maintain the sharpness of our minds. Eyesight is one of your most important senses: 80% of what we perceive comes through our sense of sight. By protecting your eyes, you will reduce the odds of blindness and vision loss while also staying on top of any developing eye diseases such as cataracts and glaucoma.
So, Leo Lions Club of Colombo Knights and Lions Club of Nawala organized an eye glasses donation program to people who lived in Arnayake area from 62 villages 150 people. On that day Mr. Thamira Jayasekara the optician joined hands with us to check the villages eye sight.
