Blood donation camp was conducted in collaboration with the blood bank of Sri Jayawardanapura Hospital, Thalapathpitiya, Nugegoda on 2023.03.11 at 9.00 am to 3.00 pm at Biththiyawalakumbura Temple, Athurugiriya Rd, Homagama. This was a joint project conducted with LEO club of Homagama Central and it was planed , organized, published, conducted and financed by all the members of both Lions & LEO club of Homagama Central. Posters, mobile audio announcement & publicity, supply a power generator, refreshment to blood donors & medical staff, lunch arrangement with bottled water to medical staff and other help parties, transportation cost, stationary cost etc was done and provided by the Lion and LEO clubs of Homagama Central. 87 People donated their blood in this camp to benefit approximately 348 patients. 10 Lions club members & 15 LEO club members participated for the project. District Governor Bennet Gamlath with his lady Lion were the chief guests for the occasion.
Project Value = Rs. 1,120,160.00 (This includes the price of a blood pint Rs. 12,000/= x 87 pints and the above project expenditure Rs. 76,160.00)
