Lions Club of Batticaloa with the support of foreign organization implemented a micro loan project to economically empower families living below poverty and/or to empower families affected by the economic crises, so far Lions club of Batticaloa has given loans for 32 families and in the month of April few more loan have been given to a medical student and 2 women headed household to improve their business
