A candy for a bottle - 2023 An iconic start over to the Lion Calendar year 2023/24 with the blessings of nature. The Lions Club of Nintavur Supreme initiated an innovative project in collaboration with the Environment Club of KM/KM/AL-Ashraq National School, Nintavur with the theme of “CANDY FOR BOTTLE” and collected more than 5000 used plastic water bottles in four days. The Past Pupils’ Association of the school have organized a series of Programs including Cricket Encounter season 5 matches and PPA Carnival 2023 which were held at the play ground of KM/KM/AL-Ashraq National School for last four days. The Lions Club of Nintavur Supreme has put up a hut as the collection point for used plastic bottles by the large crowd visiting the event. The Lions club of Nintavur Supreme rewarded a Tofee or 5/- Rupee coin for each plastic bottle dropped to the collection point bins which motivated a huge number of students, kids and public to collect the used plastic bottles thrown within the premises and drop them to the collection bins. The scope of the project is to give an awareness among public on proper waste management, Plastic-free School and Nintavur.
Lion District 306 C2 Region 10 Chairperson Lion Anaff, GMT Cordinator Lion Sahir Ahamed, Principal Cabinet Member Lion MIA. Jaleel and President of L/C Sammanthurai Golden City Lion Rafi along the president and members of the Lions Club of Nintavur Supreme participated in this event.
