A school awareness debate on drug abuse was held between a few dhamma schools at the Pradesiya Sabha Centre Maharagama. The following government officials were present : Divisional Secretariat Maharagama : Ms. Dilrukshi Walpola *Assistant Divisional secretariat : Ms.Sarangika Jayasundara *Administration officer of Divisional office , *Assistant Director, *Research and Outreach unit of the National Dangerous Drugs Control Boad: Mr. Thamara Darshana *Assistant Counselor of National Dangerous Drugs Control Board: Ms.Udeshika Lakmali Organized : Assistant Counselor, National Dangerous Drugs Control Board : Ms.Kalhari Rajapaksha The incumbent monks of the schools, parents and Panel of Judges were also present. The Project Chair was Lion Bandula The Region Chaiman Lion Trudy Dharmaratne was also present. Certificates and tokens of aporeciation were handed over at the end of the event on the final day.
