On October 1, 2023, as the world celebrated Children's Day, the Lions Club of Havelock Legends orchestrated a heartwarming program at Mother Theresa House, 'Missionaries of Charity,' Prem Nivasa, Rawathawatte. Our goal was to make it an unforgettable day for the children we hold dear.
Our esteemed Project Chairperson and Club President, Lion Saminda Lugoda PMJF, led the charge to ensure that every moment of this special day would be filled with joy and laughter.
Joining us in this noble endeavor was Zone Chairperson Region 4 Zone 1, Lion Pahan Gunasinghe PMAF, whose presence added a touch of distinction to our event.
Lion Lady Sagarika Udayarathna, Lion Lady Dinusha Lugoda, Lion Vikasitha Ranasinghe, alongside our dedicated club members, made this day a memorable one.
We started by filling their tummies with a delicious lunch that left smiles on their faces. But the fun didn't end there! We organized entertainment that included a Piñata Game, complete with exciting gifts that had the children giggling with delight.
Additionally, we extended our love and support to 22 children who needed assistance with their meals. In total, 45 children and 10 staff members joined us in celebrating this special day, creating cherished memories together.
Their laughter echoed through the day, a testament to the love and care that Lions Club of Havelock Legends holds for our community's youngest members. Their happiness is our inspiration, and we look forward to many more moments like these. #ChildrensDay #CommunityLove #HavelockLegendsLionsClub
