Teaching Hospital Batticaloa
Lions Club of Batticaloa in collaboration with Friends of Batticaloa Hospitals (FOBH) UK and the Teaching Hospital Batticaloa conducted cataract surgery for 125 elders from poor families living in the outskirt of Batticaloa District. FOBH members and eye and surgeons from UK and Sri Lanka conducted the surgery at the Teaching Hospital Batticaloa, Leo Club of Batticaloa, Leo Club of Caecilians and Leo Club of Vincenties also facilitated in executing the project. As the patients were 120 we transported the patients to lions center accommodated most of the patients at our lions center. project was conducted for 2 days, screening, and other arrangements were done for another 3 days prior to the surgery
