Newly started an Elder Care Home on 1st October 2023 at 9.00 a.m. at Kalutara. The event was organized by the Kottawa Lions Club of Ladies dignity. The President Lion Lakmini Perera is the chairperson of this project. Lion Yamuna, Anomie and Damayanthi were participated for this event. This project was successfully completed. Beneficiaries are Elderly people who are lack of sufficient attention towards is a grave concern in our society today. Faced with challenging economic situations, competitive working cultures as well as the never ending race to ensure the survival of the fittest, family responsibilities and values are diminishing at an alarming rate. As a result, elders who struggle to make a contribution towards the economy are considered a burden by many of their children and relatives who ignore the responsibility of caring for them at this late stage of their lives.
