On October 29, 2023, the Lions Club of Havelock Legends embarked on a mission to brighten the futures of underprivileged children in our community. With a heartfelt bag donation event at Kolonnawa Raja Maha Wiharaya, we aimed to provide support where it's needed most.
Our honorable Chief Guest, District Governor Lion Ismath Hamid PMJF, added an extra layer of warmth and inspiration to our day of service. His presence underscored the significance of our collective efforts.
At the forefront of this initiative were our devoted Project Chairpersons, Lion Roshan Kumara, and Lion Lady Thilini Madushani. With determination and compassion, they ensured that the bags of hope found their way to deserving hands.
Lighting Up Futures: Bag Donations for Underprivileged Children
These bags were directed toward several of the poorest schools in the area, offering a lifeline to children who often have so little. These acts of kindness and generosity illuminate our club's commitment to making a difference where it's most needed.
The members of Lions Club of Havelock Legends rallied behind this cause, demonstrating that, with unity and service, we can help illuminate the paths of these young learners.
