October month being Cancer awareness month. Project Chairperson Lion Enoka De Silva, Chairman of Lion Ladies Association together with Lions Club of Elvitigala hosted the Breast cancer awareness program with resource person, Mr Meryl Perera of the Ceylon Cancer on the 11th of October 2023 at the Vivekaramaya Temole Mirihana Nugegoda with the participation of 18 Lion Ladues. Present were Past First Lady Lion , Lion Trudy Dharmarathna, Region Chairperson, Lion Amara Perera DGSPC for Elders, Lion Thilaka Algiriya, Lion Bandula Algiriya DGSOC for Vision, Lion Tuan Jamion DGSPC for Environment. A light meal with tea/Coffee was served to all. There were 30 ladies present at the event. A token of appreciation in cash was made to the resource Person Mr Meryl Perera.
