Kathina Cheevara Pooja and Almsgiving: A Spiritual Affair by Lions Club of Havelock Legends
We are excited to share the narrative of a recent and meaningful event hosted by the Lions Club of Havelock Legends at Ellepola Welage Purana Rajamaha Viharaya in Balangoda, Rathnapura.
On November 5, 2023, Lions Club members, led by dedicated project chairpersons Lion Anura Pradeep and Lion Lady Sagarika Udayarathna, orchestrated a ceremonial procession to the temple, weaving through five neighboring villages. The procession, imbued with spiritual significance, was followed by a profound Pirith preaching session.approximately 200 villagers gathered on the fifth night, where the spirit of community was fostered through the thoughtful offering of tea , sandwiches.
