Report on Successful Katina Perahara at Welage Purana Rajamaha Viharaya
We are delighted to share the success of our recent project at Welage Purana Rajamaha Viharaya in Balangoda, Rathnapura, led by the dedicated Project Chairperson Anura Pradeep on November 6, 2023.
On the day following the Katina Perahara, the afternoon featured Buddha Puja, the twenty-eight Buddha Puja, and the offering of alms to 50 Sangha members. A collection of delicious desserts, including fruits, sweets, ice cream, jelly, and honey-infused milk, enhanced the occasion.
The Pinkam ceremony reached its pinnacle with the successful offering of 50 robes, 30 Atapirikaras, and 50 Minor Pirikaras, along with the Katina Cheevara. A large number of villagers actively participated in this event.
