A multiple project was organised by Project Chairperson, Lion Amara Perera on behalf of Lions Club of Colombo Elvitigala and Lion Ladies Association on the 3rd of December 2023 at the Sri Mihindu Madyasthanaya, New City East, Hokandara towards the Schoolchildren and other participants. The distribution of books and stationary, whiteboards, food distribution and eye screening was done on this day. The Chief Guest was 2nd Vice District Governor, Lion Gaya Upasena. Other participants were Past District Governor Lion Raslan Mowlana, Lion Prabha Dharmarathne(DGs Coordinator for Better Sri Lanka), Lion Trudy Dharmarathne, Region Chairperson,, Lion Viduranga Maddumage and Spouse Lion Ruwani Maddumage, Lion Antony Pradeep, Club President, Lion Tuan Jamion, DGs Coordinator for Environment, Lion Enoka de Silva, Chairman of Lion Ladies Association, Lion Bandhula Algiriya, DGs Coordinator for Vision, Club Vice President Lion Donald Athukorala and spouse Lion Samudra Athukorala and 6 other lion members participated in the event. 100 children were benefited by this great project. Food distribution and eye screening was done thereafter for the children and all participants. Co-chairperson for vision screening was Lion Bandhula Algiriya. Traditional dance entertainment and speeches by children were organised by the school teachers.
