Kayankerni village is around 40km away from Batticaloa town, this village was severely affected by the Tsumani and then by war, the entire community was displaced and resettled, this school Bt/Kayankerny Sarasvathy Vidiyalayam was located here after the end of conflict, the principal and teachers are putting all their effort in promoting the children's education, thus, the Principal and teachers have planned to conduct a leadership workshop for 55 students studying in year 10 & 11, these students will sit for their secondary level examination at the end of this year. This is a deciding exam for their future career path. Also by this seminar students will be motivated to take leading role in the community and guide others.Lions Club of Batticaloa provided financial assistance for learning materials, resource persons fee, refreshments and also face mask
