Sri Sithi Vinayagar Temple - Valaichchenai
Sri Sithi Vinayagar Temple is situated 35km away from Batticaloa town, was started in 1951 in the Valaichchenai Paper factory premises for worshiping by the staff living in the quarters, during the conflict paper factory did not function but some families remained and worshiped in this temple till 2016, then the people moved away but comes to this temple, trustees of this temple were struggling to manage the temple with the little income they get from the offering of people who attends. Now the Government has restarted functioning of the paper factory in a small scale and gradually they will increase the production, on request of the temple trustees, our club has provided grant to carryout pooja for the factory staff and surrounding community to worship
